John 15:4-5 Jesus said..." I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

Prayer
At the end of every year, I start asking the Lord to give me a special scripture, word or even a Bible character that I can study and meditate on in the coming year. This year, the special word is PRAYER. My life this year will be filled with changing and new relationships, a new ministry and lots of adaptations. I will be clinging to the Lord through prayer, worship and seeking His Presence on a daily basis. I will be asking questions like: "What does prayer look like to me?", "What does God desire for me to understand about prayer ?", "How does God want me to pray?" I believe that the Lord desires to give me a new and fresh understanding of who He is in my prayer life. No matter what your year looks like, there is bound to be changes, challenges and surprises. As Godly women in a world that keeps us spinning in all directions, we desperately need to be able to find peace, contentment and understanding for our days. When we make ourselves slow down, stop and seek God's presence, we find all that we need to face each day, each moment and each situation. We may be caught by surprise at the day's happenings...but God isn't!! Isn't that great news? Each day presents an opportunity to come before our Lord, the Giver of all blessings and understanding. Purpose in your heart this year to draw near to God and His Word promises that He will draw near to you!
"Part of waiting upon the Lord is telling God that you want what He wants-whatever it is." Kay Arthur
"...not my will, but thine, be done." Luke 22:42
"Prayer keeps us in constant communion with God, which is the goal of our entire believing lives." Beth Moore
"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." James 1:5
Dear Lord,
You are the Giver of life. We are your cherished creation. You know our thoughts and hearts. Please help us to come running to You, seeking Your Presence each day. Meet us in our weakness, so that through You we may be strengthened to do Your will today. Amen
